With the MSI version of Outlook, when I plug in my iPhone 4g, iTunes opens up, and now gives me "Outlook" as one of the options under "Info" for syncing Calendar, Contacts, and Notes. But, I just clicked on "64-bit" version, and what it downloaded (after 20 minutes of download time!) was in fact the MSI version of Office. There I clicked on "advance" as the article suggests, but "Singleimage.exe" was not one of the options. I turned off auto updates so it doesn't happen again in the preferences. SO the solution is itunes MUST be installed using run as then adminstrator. rebooted again to be sure and it again ran perfectly. Rebooted again and signed in my ID and it ran perfectly.

I then uninstalled all of the apple programs, rebooted and then ran the itunes install program as an administrator. I then rebooted and tried it with my ID hich is an adminstrator account and the same problems returned. It synced with a clean copy of my pst file - no problem. I configured a new account and plugged the phone in. Itunes repair routine! Once completed, itunes started up and ran with no mobile device errors. I ran across a comment on a forum that said to try and run the itunes program as an administrator by going to c:\program files\apple\itunes and then right clicking on itunes.exe and use run as, then check administrator and put in the admin password.

Of mod group folders to the file - probably why the size blew up. It would take a 4K outlook pst file and blow it up 180 K if I let it run long enough. I ran into the same problems where I would get pop ups saying apple mobile device helper has been stopped though it would continue to try and sync.
